In 2025, Mouton Rothschild did something it had never done before: it built its Grand Vin from 98% Cabernet Sauvignon and just 2% Merlot, the highest proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon ever recorded in the estate's flagship wine. Critics immediately highlighted this as one of the defining features of the vintage.
